Research Interests
Bultas' research interests include fostering positive developmental outcomes among high risk children and their families. Bultas has experience in the areas of autism, pediatric developmental delay and disability, pediatric chronic illness, parent perceptions and experiences, and growth and development.
Additionally, Bultas' research also includes identifying supports to enhance positive student outcomes for nursing and college students. These supports include examination strategies, academic integrity, the use of simulation as a teaching modality, and reduction of stress and anxiety for this population. Her work has included the use of Therapy Dogs in the classroom setting. Additionally, Bultas has explored the use of teaching and educational supports for faculty including the use of iPads in the classroom.
